Back in the Shire

A green road sign saying "Entering Portland"My intention is to post an illustrated review of the 3.6 Million Revolutions for Justice Bike Tour in the next week or two. The main update I want to leave you with, for now, is that I made it back home to Portland last Friday evening (August 27) after spending a few days relaxing on the Oregon Coast.

Being anxious to get back to Portland for various of reasons, I did the 110-mile trip from Nehalem Bay State Park (just south of Manzanita, OR) in one day. That set a new personal single day distance record for me.

I came into town through the forested West Hills of Portland, riding down a steep descent on Germantown Rd, and then crossing over the scenic Saint Johns Bridge. It was the perfect ending to the trip.

Please stay tuned for the tour recap.
